Founder Post:
“Why I Built a Hotel for Cats”
After more than two decades in real estate investments finance, I had the credentials and a supportive network. What I didn’t really have – not fully, was alignment.
I’ve always loved animals and kept many as pets from a young age. While my classmates aspired to be teachers or lawyers when they grow up, I wanted to be a zookeeper.
It took me years to decide I didn’t want to just work with numbers; I also want to create spaces with capacity for sentiments and feelings. I believe joy can be designed – for both cats and people who adore them!
So I walked away, from the title and comfort zone, to build Kitnap.
Kitnap is a cat hotel; it’s also a system of love and structure. If you believe pet care could both be heartfelt and smart – I’d love to welcome you in.
At home, I am accompanied by Cloudy, Momo and Floki. I am a certified cat groomer as well!
